A Surprise Gift to Me

Hi Everyone:

Hope you all had a great weekend!  I sure did...I wanted to share with you a gift from my friend.   You have to check out her blog, missmeijuene.blogspot.com.  I can imagine that she got a great deal on these since her passion is:  thrifting, junking, picking, etc.

The pattern is absolutely beautiful and are in excellent shape.  I received a place setting which includes:
dinner plate, luncheon plate, saucer and tea cup for a serving of four.

Look at the adorable napkins from Anthropologie...I just love the ruffled edges!

The pattern is called Crown Ducal England - Ivy.

Crown Ducal Backstamp

Tea cup and saucer -- just adore the ivy pattern

The place settings were placed in a basket and decorated with a pretty ribbon...

I just love receiving little goodies like this.  Why don't you share with me some of your surprise gifts......

Do you have any unusual flowers in your garden?

Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Below is a garden quote that I found and love:

In my garden there is a large place for sentiment.  My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams.  The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful.  ~Abram L. Urban

St. Michael's, Maryland Vintage Finds

Just wanted to share some photos of some of my vintage finds while visiting St. Michael's over the weekend.  I was so excited when I finally found a chippy column that I have been searching for!  It was just the right size that I needed so I could place in a corner near my PB chair.

I just love this chippy column!  I added a small round object on top of it!

Boxwood Wreaths

Hi Everyone:

I received my boxwood wreaths that I ordered from Betsy at farmhousemusings.blogspot.com.
Check out here site. She has some real nice things that you can order online such as baskets, home decor, candles, table runners, etc.

After opening up the box, I was so excited I started decorating with them right away.

Since these are preserved, misting them with water once a month is recommended.

A visit to New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ

Hi Everyone:

Did you have a good weekend?  I did, my husband and I went to New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ.  The weather was beautiful with no humidity.  We did a lot of sightseeing and antiquing while there.

The first stop on our visit was to a french bakery, C'Est La Vie (translation - This is Life) and had a coffee and delicious french pastries.  Lunch was at a beautiful restaurant called http://lillysgourmet.com/canal.html

New Hope, PA

We also went antiquing in Lambertville, NJ which is just a walk over the bridge from New Hope, PA.  I found a old picnic basket with some wear and tear, however, the price was fair.

Here are some more photos that I wanted to share with you from my trip.

Wine and Cheese anyone?

Here is the picnic basket that I purchased................

French cookies, aren't they adorable?

CHALK PAINT PROJECT

Hello There,

I am about to start my first Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint project.  I have attached a photo of a small chest of drawers that I would like to paint.  This piece is in my guest bedroom that I just freshly painted the walls Mascarpone by Benjamin Moore.

Here are three colors that I have decided on......Which one do you like?  I also have a green/white chippy wicker chair near the chest.

After this project is done - I would like to finish up decorating the room so I can move on to other projects.

Hope you are having a great day!

Here are the three (3) choices that I have come of with:

Old Ochre

Antibes Green

Cream
