Taos Drum Table and Original Art

Hello everyone:

How is your week so far?  I had a busy week, my mother and her friend visited me.  We all had so much fun and kept busy!  I will share another post on our time together.

Did I ever tell you that I was going to move to Arizona years ago?  While visiting the Southwest, I fell in love with some of the art and especially my Taos Drum.  Since we did not make the big move to Arizona years ago, I just could not part with some of the artwork.

I have included photos of one of my oil panting along with my drum table.  This table has been a great piece and definitely has been a conversation piece.  When my nieces and nephews would visit me, they would also play on the drum and dance.

I love to mix in my favorite pieces from the Southwest to my existing decorating style.   It is a challenge but also fun.

The blue in the oil painting looks great also in this room since my ceilings are painted blue.

We purchased this oil painting from a gallery in Tucson, Arizona.  Artist - Marlene Smith

The top of the table is rawhide, so sturdy

Enjoy the rest of your week and thanks for visiting!
