My Little Tea Cart

I have had this tea cart for years and use to have it in my kitchen....It served so many purposes.  Recently I decided to move it outside of  my new home and place on the patio.

I actually love the color (green) that it is but have decided to spray paint it back so it will match my patio table and chairs.

Here is the before photo:

Notice the yucky fence in the background, I have recently painted and added jasmine

Here is the cart painted black to match my patio set.

I won the glass bottles holding the yellow flowers from a giveaway at Savvy Southern Style blog.

Now see all of the background dirt, I will be adding ground cover to this area and hopefully it will take.  My patio is located off of my screened porch and there is a huge live oak tree near the patio to provide shade.  So since there is plenty of shade, I will have to find a ground cover that needs shade only.

Tomorrow I will be visiting some gardens in the area.  Hope to take some great photos with my new camera so I can share them with you.

  1. We must think alike. I recently bought a little two tiered plant stand and placed 3 terra cotta pots with my pink geraniums on the top shelf. Love your teacart painted black! I'm still trying to decide if I should paint mine.

Have fun playing with your new camera tomorrow!

  2. Your cart was really nice before but I love it now! You can really see the details on it so much better and I love the little bottles with flowers on top tray.

  3. It really pops and is so pretty painted black! Love the little caddy filled with plants on the top rack! :)

  4. What a sweet cart, I love it both colors! Pacasandra is a fast growing ground cover that likes shade.

  5. That's a sweet teacart! It was pretty in green, but it really shows up now in black. It looks great!

  6. Great cart, Kelly! I love it black. Such a versatile piece, too.

  7. Darling little cart! Love it in green. Very sharp looking in black. Nice change. It looks perfect with your other pieces. I took a peek at your new beautifully painted porch. Yummy!

  8. Very cute I love the new look and the tiny terracotta pots!
