Lavender Shortbread

A few weeks ago when visiting my favorite bakery, Back in The Day Bakery, I purchased some  fresh lavender buds.  I used them in the lavender shortbread recipe below which is one of my favorites from their bakery.

  10. I've never tried using lavender in recipes, but I would love to give it a try. Your cookies look beautiful. Love them stacked on that old scale.

  12. I didn't know that you could actually eat lavendar! I guess I live a sheltered life. ha! I've heard of things with lavendar in it, but never really knew they were really talking about that flower. That is pretty neat! I learned something new today.

  17. oh i never tried lavender until earlier this year with my lemon lavender cupcakes and we were so amazed at how good they were. even my hubby loved them!
