Happy Fall!

Over the weekend, I added some fall touches to my front porch....I love the colors and textures of fall, pumpkin scented candles burning, the smell of homemade soups cooking on the stove, extra layers of clothing (maybe up north), and the smell of apple pie baking in oven... and pumpkins.  The weather has been less humid and we have had cooler nights here in South Carolina.

I made up this small basket of flowers for front door.... I love the pop of orange against my coastal blue door!

Added a coffee sack to my wine barrel with some pumpkins and a mum....

One of my favorite pillows for  October
I sit out on my front porch a lot since the nights have been cooler

My Wicked Witch Sign

I even added a metal basket with a splash of yellow and orange to my back gate.  Can you see the door/gate knocker to the left of gate?  I can also see some of my Confederate Jasmine trying to climb the picket fence......

Hope you are enjoying your Fall too!  Thanks for visiting!

  8. Your basket is so cute and I love the blue color scheme you have. The rockers look just perfect dressed up for fall but with that coastal feeling. I'm happy you are having some cooler weather, so are we and I love it!

  12. Awww how sweet is this? And a great sense of humor added too. Love the sweet little gate with the little basket and cute door knocker. I have some poor confederate jasmine still sitting in a pot out back waiting patiently to be planted somewhere. I can be such a procrastinator ;)

I hope you get your swing next spring! I know you will !

  18. I have to comment on your backyard fence and gate.... nothing gets me more than a picket fence. Reminds me of the gate in front of a house we were looking at while in SC. This one had the ball and chain closure! How I wish this house wasn't the only great house on the street. If we bought it, the first thing we would have to do is ask the neighbor if we could paint the side of the house that was facing it. Peeling paint, for pitty sakes!! I still think of this house... too bad, though, that surrounding it was homes that weren't kept up.

The front door color of your home is so welcoming. I sure would love to come over and sit on your front porch to sip some sweet tea with you!!!
