Easy Pine Cone Craft

Hi There! Are you already decorating for the holidays or perhaps already finished? Well, I am doing it slowly room by room. I wanted to share a real quick and easy craft with pine cones. This is a very inexpensive craft if you have pine cones nearby. If not, you can always purchase them in a craft store.

Just covered ground with newspaper
I used Rust-Oleum "Chrome" paint

And  there you go!  So easy!  I will share how I used the pine cones in upcoming posts!

Thanks for visiting!

Christmas at Longwood Gardens

Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and time with family. I spent my time in Pennsylvania with friends and family.

During my stay, my sister and nieces and nephew visited Longwood Gardens. Have you ever been there?  Longwood is a well-known destination to domestic and international visitors. It is located on over 1000 acres which include 20 inside and 20 outside gardens. There are over 11,000 plants and trees including fountains at Longwood. They also host various fountain displays, firework displays, music concerts, flower shows and many other activities. During the holidays, they have a gorgeous Christmas light display that I love to see. We also had lunch at The Terrace located within Longwood.  Of course, I had to order the Mushroom Soup since Kennett Square, PA is the mushroom capital of the world!  It was delicious!

If you ever get a chance I would highly recommend visiting here. It is located in Kennett Square, PA. More information can be found here.

Here are some photos that I took during my visit.  (I tried not to upload too many photos)

This poinsettia tree is so stunning  in person!

White Hydrangeas

This was one of my favorite displays, love the bows tied on the back of the chairs and lovely centerpieces

Added Texture to the Dining Room

Remember my last post on my living room bamboo blinds?  See here. Well I also added them to my dining room area since the rooms both connect to each other.

Here are some photos that I wanted to share of my fall centerpiece on my farm table.

Caramel Apple Muffins

Wanted to share this Caramel Apple Muffin recipe with you.  I made these awhile ago and they were so easy.  I also delivered some to my neighbors and they sure loved them!

Recipe can be found here.

Here are some photos of me making these too!

This is a streusel topping in yellow bowl that is sprinkled on top of muffin

Diced Granny Smith Apples

The recipe stated that it made 12 muffins however, I like my muffins filled at least 2/3 full.  I could not stretch it to 12 so instead stuck a apple for photo!
This was the best part, dipping muffin into warm caramel!!! YUM!

The finished product!
So there you go!  Give it a try!  You will love them!

Thanks for visiting!

Edisto Beach

This weekend was so beautiful here in SC, that we decided to visit Edisto Beach which is located north of Beaufort near Charleston. Have any of you ever been there or heard of  this area? It is a very, small town with a population of approximately 700. The beaches are beautiful and Edisto is considered a uncommercialized, family oriented place to stay. It is located off the beaten path so it is not as busy as other beaches.  Here are some photos that I wanted to share. This beach is not as well known at Hilton Head or Kiawah.

"Picture Perfect" day for the beach

Seashells at the Seashore

I usually choose my own path.....

Gathered some shells to make my initial.....

Have you ever seen a shell like this one?  It sort of reminded me of a toadstool!!!

Geechie Boy Market and Mill

This market sold grits, vegetables and of course tomatoes!!!

Tomato Farm
After our walk on beach, we stopped by a near by cafe for a small bite.

Thanks for your visit...Hope you enjoyed viewing Edisto!!
