Tool Caddy Flower Container

Hello There,

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I worked in the yard with potting flowers and mowing the lawn. About one year ago, I found this old tool caddy at a local consignment shop. I don't recall what I paid for it but it was not much. Anyway, the size is quite large so while working in the yard planting flowers, I came across my tool caddy and decided to plant some pink geraniums in it.

First, I drilled three (3) holes at bottom for drainage.

Then I filled the container with some good garden soil including fertilizer.  Then added geraniums.......

And there you go, a simple, fun flower container!

Now this is just placed here for now, however, I am getting ready to "fluff" up my blue front porch and will be back with the reveal soon!

Thanks for your visit!

  1. Kelly,
I love it all. So pretty. I can't wait to see your porch.

  2. Hi Linda; such a great idea, I pinned it. I know there is an old tool box out in the shed, now I have to dig it out.

  3. Looks wonderful, Kelly. I cannot wait to see where it ends up.

  4. That's a cute container to hold planted flowers! So rustic and cottagey.

  5. I love this! It looks so pretty with the geraniums. I like the idea of using the tool caddy like that. Can't wait to see your porch reveal! :)

  6. Love your geranium filled tote...I will look forward to seeing your porch décor!

  7. Pretty! I can't wait for our weather to warm up so I can get some flowers planted!

  8. Can you imagine how gorgeous this will look all summer? Those hot pink geraniums against the worn wood look amazing! Very clever idea! Hope you share this at TUTORIALS TIPS AND TIDBITS. Link goes live Wednesday at 8:00 pm!

  9. Love the pop of the pink against the rustic wood!

  10. Great idea. I have been busy planting flowers in my pots, but I really like this idea. So fun!
