Brunch at Talula's Garden - Philadelphia

Recently we visited Talula's Garden restaurant in Philadelphia while visiting family in PA. We were able to sit out in the terrace for brunch since the weather was so nice.

Talula's Garden opened up in April of 2011 with owner Aimee Olexy and the Starr partnership.  Olexy also owns Talula's Table (gourmet market) in Kennett Square, PA which I visited frequently when I lived in Pennsylvania.  The market is filled with gourmet cheeses, homemade baquettes, desserts, and many other food items that you can purchase or sit down in the cafe to enjoy. They also carry LaColombe coffee which I have to say is the best coffee that I have ever tasted.

Isn't the sign adorable?  The menu is posted at the right hand corner in a frame with chicken wire.  Love the birdhouses too!

The interior of the restaurant is decorated so tastefully.  I could not get too many photos since the restaurant was so busy.  The artwork is so unique and walls so cheerful in bright and bold paint colors!

Another photo from inside....Loving the drum lampshades...........

This was a wall outside in the terrace where we had brunch.  Don't you just love the wall of flowers in the wooden boxes?

Here is a sample of the menu, do you see the tiny wooden rolling pin attached?  Isn't that clever?

Now for the good food that was served........

My mom and I

My sister Tara and niece, Ella

Sweet Pea Benedict, Warm Favas and English Peas, Country Ham, Farm Fresh Eggs, Basil Hollandaise

Anson Mills Grits, Dixie Shrimp, Poached Egg, Bacon Lardons, Spring Onion, Asparagus, and Cornbread

Farm Egg Frittata Spring Onion, Swiss Chard Red Pepper, Tangy Feta Cheese, Herbs, and Crispy Spiced Potatoes.

Overall the food and service was incredible!  If you are ever in the Philadelphia area, I hope you have time to visit here.  More information can be found here.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I pinned the idea of the boxes on the fence. It will make a nice place in our garden for growing herbs.
