eBay Art

Since moving to the Low Country over two years ago, I still have some things in storage that I have been slowly going through.  I came across my original painting from a local artist in Tucson purchased at El Presidio Gallery.

Over 20 years ago, we were planning to move to the Tucson area but it did not pan out the way we wanted it to do and we never proceeded. At the time, we had a public auction and sold many items in our home including many antiques and signed reproductions. Oh boy, do I miss my furniture at times! While visiting the Tucson area several times, we purchased the painting which we fell in love with.

The title of the painting is "Slightly Scuffed"

Anyway, I have decided to place one of my paintings on eBay. Here is a photo of it. I do love it however just can't find a place in my home for it and to click with my style of decor.

It was just placed on eBay over the weekend. Hopefully it will sell and we decided to place it on a reserved pricing. Have you ever sold anything on eBay and how was your experience? This will be our first item that we have placed for sale, however, my husband has bought a BMW motorcycle before and had no problems.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

French Touches to Bathroom

Recently I painted my hall bath in Benjamin Moore (Silver Spring).  I love how it looks; the color has hues of gray and blue. This room was tough to photograph since there is no window for natural light.

A new shower curtain was hung along with some new Pottery Barn towels to the iron towel racks.

French touches - Le Bain - Bath (Ballard)

Added wrought iron Eiffel Tower to coordinate with bath lighting

The Eifel Tower print was ordered through  Etsy.  I love the little boat with the French flag and the different pops of color in the trees.

Hope you enjoyed. Thanks for visiting.

A Peek at My New 2013 Project and Winner of Giveaway

When we moved into our new home almost one year ago, I knew that I wanted to add a back splash in my kitchen.

There is also some other things that I want to add to the kitchen:  pendant lighting above counter space and some stainless steel shelving. We already bought all new stainless steel appliances which I love.

So here is a sneak peek of what I will be doing to my kitchen. Yes it is subway tile and I am so excited to start the project soon! Stay tuned and I will hopefully reveal my kitchen at a later time.

And the other news is......the winner of my Palmetto Wicks candle giveaway. I asked my husband to pick a winner and he picked two slips so we have two winners this time!  The winners are:  Blondie's Journal and Uptown Acorn.  Congratulations!

Thanks for visiting and hope you enjoy your weekend!

Valentine Cut Outs

Last week when it was raining, I thought it would be a perfect day to make a easy craft for Valentines. I had bought some card stock paper (red and pink), used my cookie heart cutters to trace hearts on paper and placed Valentine stickers on the cutouts.

I hole punched a hole in the center top of cutout and used pink/white butcher twine to hang. Aren't they cute? I felt like I was in grade school all over again, it was so much fun!!

Aren't these the cutest stickers?

Here is where I decided to hang them on the willow branches that I have placed in my French market flower bucket.

Are you making anything "crafty" for Valentine's Day?  I still have to make cookies and will share them with you, too!

Thanks for visiting!
