Lily Pads at Longwood Gardens

Well I am finally back from my trip to Pennsylvania. I had so much fun with family and friends and always had my schedule filled with lots of things to do and see!

My sister, Tara and my two nieces visited Longwood Gardens and we had such a lovely time. My nieces especially love it since there are tree houses on the property.  It was a beautiful day and it was not too crowded so I was able to take many photos of the gardens, fountains, tree houses and lilypads.
I posted photos of Longwood during the holidays, however, I wanted to share some with you during the summer months.

These were amazing in person!

Wouldn't you love to have a tree house like this?

Ella and Jenna playing in the fountain!

Such lovely fountains!

The flowers in bloom were just so beautiful!  My sister lives very close to Longwood and has a yearly family
pass which includes fountain shows, concerts and special events.  It is well worth it if you live nearby.

More information can be found here.  Have you ever visited Longwood Gardens?

Hope you enjoyed and thanks for your visit!

Williamsburg Gardens

Hi There

Hope all is well.  I am visiting my family back in Pennsylvania and wanted to share some photos of our trip to Williamsburg, VA so far.  We stopped there for a resting point on our drive to  PA.

Here are some photos of the gardens in the colonial area along with some others.....Hope you enjoy.

Love this idea as a plant shelf!

Here are a couple of pics from our Bed and Breakfast that we stayed in.  The Bentley Manor Inn was a wonderful place and the hosts were so friendly and hospitable.  More information can be found here.
It is located within walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg.

Lovely Four Poster Bed

We had a wonderful breakfast in this dining room which included a choice of homemade sweet potato pancakes with bacon or choice of omelet and bacon.  The pancakes were fabulous!

Blue Talon Bistro
This is one of our favorite restaurants to dine.  More information can be found here.

Well I hope you enjoyed the photos of Williamsburg.  Now I am having some fun in Pennsylvania with friends and family.  I will share some more photos when I return.

Thanks for your visit.

Shell Adorned Mason Jars and Beachy Tablescape

I felt like making a tablescape today with my bistro table.

I brought out my Pottery Barn beach themed plates.......

And added my sparkly, sand dollar napkin rings to some cloth napkins.......

Placed a blue candle on my galvanized pedestal and added seashells around the base........

Then one thing led to another..... I tied some burlap ribbon around  my mason jars and hot glued a shell to them! VOILA! I just love them!

And of course, I picked a Hydrangea from my garden and placed it in an old vintage milk bottle.....

And here are the final touches!

Thanks for your visit!  Have a wonderful week!
