Pegboards in Kitchen

I love organization in a kitchen especially when it comes to utensils and cookware.  When I visited the Smithsonian Institute in DC years ago, I was inspired by Julia Childs pegboard kitchen and her own cooking show.  I have always said to myself that one day I would like to have pegboard in my own kitchen.

Adding pegboard to a kitchen is perfect for showing off a collection of copper, your favorite cooking utensils, organization in a small kitchen and all at an arms reach.

Here are some more inspirational photos of using pegboards in the kitchen.

I like how baskets are filled with vegetables, fruits and kitchen utensils on this particular pegboard.

You can even paint your pegboard, I probably would do the same thing!

So what do you think about pegboard in a kitchen?  I love it and hope to use it someday in my new kitchen as soon as I find my new home!

Thanks for your visit!

  1. I had pegboard in the second kitchen I ever had. I loved it at first, but after a while I found it was difficult to keep clean and I got kind of tired of looking at it. lol I do love the convenience factor of it though-especially in a small kitchen. xo Diana

  2. Hi,
I think a peg board kitchen wall would be a great convenience. I just read Nana Diana's comment, and do wonder about keeping it clean.

I am excited to see what you decide on.
