Chester County Day Home Tour

Hello There,

Last week I visited my family back in Pennsylvania and had a busy schedule.  We went to Chester County Day (home tours).  It was held on Saturday and the weather was chilly along with a light rain.  Although no photos were permitted inside of the homes, I tried to take some photos of the homes outside with Iphone since I didn't want to take my good camera in the rain!

This was the 75th year of this event and is one of the oldest running home tours in the country.

Here are some of the homes that I managed to take.

I especially love this one, I did not get the whole home I wanted to share the lacy wrought iron in this photo.  I just adore it!

Isn't this brick oven adorable too?

This was one of my favorite doors on the tour.  I love the intricate wood doors along with the beautiful wreaths.  JUST BEAUTIFUL!

Afterwards we enjoyed a hot bowl of Apple and Butternut Square soup.  It was the perfect choice for a chilly day....

I hope you enjoyed the tour!

  2. Yes, I enjoyed the home tour very much. I love browsing through charming homes like this. Those doors are so pretty with all the detailed wood work, and the wreaths accent it well. I smiled at the brick home with the green shutters and the orange pumpkin on the porch, so cute. I think that was my favorite. It says "welcome" to me.

I've always loved to look at the front homes and their porches. Thanks for giving us a peek at these.

  3. Ooooo, that apple and butternut soup looks delicious. Warm soups are especially nice during the Autumn and Winter seasons.

I made that same soup this week for the first time and loved it!

The homes are lovely. I like the windows of house number 3.

  6. I'm amazed that you have time to play having just moved.

My favorite is the yellow house.
