Loving the Month of May

I hope you had a lovely weekend.  We have had some beautiful weather here in NC. The flowers are all in bloom and I have been busy taking lots of outdoor photos.

(Most of these shots were taken with my Iphone)

The weather has been perfect with sunny days and lower humidity.  It is nice weather to have windows open throughout the home instead of air conditioning!  Our community pool opens this week and I am looking forward to that also!

I have tea olive bushes around my home and the fragrance is wonderful!  I picked a bunch and placed in a mason jar in my kitchen!

I used an old step ladder and planted some herbs in terracotta pots for my patio! I prefer to use fresh herbs in my cooking rather than dried,

I am looking forward to going to Luckett's Spring Market in a couple of weeks.  The last time I went was close to five years ago so I am due for a visit!  Hopefully I will find some goods for my home!

I hope you are enjoying your spring, too!

  1. Hi Kelly, It's amazing what great photos we get on our phones. I read some of your previous posts. I loved your gallery wall. The flowers around your area are beautiful. I also loved the terra cotta pots on the little ladder. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

  2. What a sweet duck picture. You are having lovely weather and perfect for taking pictures. The flowers from the tea olive bush look so pretty in the mason jar in your kitchen. I've never smelled them before. I hope you enjoy the Spring market, and bring home some wonderful goodies for yourself. : )

    Happy May, Kelly.

  3. Hello. Your photos are great. I enjoy comfortable sunny days now, too.

  4. Nothing as wonderful as spring...... except maybe fall! LOL! I do love them both. Look forward to seeing your Luckett finds! blessings ~ tanna

  5. Pretty pictures! I never heard of the tea olive bushes, I will see if they are OK for my area. Thanks for your visit. We have year long passes every year and go often to Longwood. We love it! Have a great evening!

  6. May looks lovely in your neck of the woods!
